Cypress Contractors — One Crew, Start to Finish
Cypress is growing faster than its contractor pool. Roofing, remodeling, flooring and junk removal — done by our own crews, not subbed out. Transparent pricing for every project.

Growth That Doesn't Wait for the Contractor Pool to Catch Up
Cypress barely existed on the map 25 years ago. What was once open ranchland along US 290 and FM 1960 is now one of the fastest-growing unincorporated communities in Texas — and the construction that filled it in came fast. Bridgeland, Towne Lake, Fairfield, Lakeland Heights — the master-planned communities that define Cypress today were built in rapid succession, and they are aging in rapid succession too. The homes built in 2005 through 2010 are now hitting the same 15-to-20-year maintenance window that Katy crossed a few years earlier, and the homes from 2010 to 2015 are right behind them. Roofing, flooring, kitchen cabinets and exterior paint are all reaching the end of their first life at roughly the same time.
The problem Cypress homeowners face is volume. When an entire subdivision needs roofing at the same time, the contractors who can do the work are booked. The ones who are available are often brokers — companies that take the job and hand it to whoever is free. The homeowner doesn't know who's actually on their roof until the truck shows up. NRBS's model is different: we send our own crews, and the crew that starts the job is the crew that finishes it. That matters when the scope expands — and in Cypress, it often does. What starts as a roofing job becomes a siding repair becomes an interior fix once you open the wall and see what the water found.
Housing profile
What Cypress is built from
Rapid master-planned growth
Bridgeland, Towne Lake, Fairfield — built 2005–2020 in rapid succession. The earliest sections are entering their first major renovation cycle.
Builder-grade finishes
Production-home construction with builder-grade roofing, flooring and fixtures that age predictably. Replacement demand is high and synchronized across subdivisions.
Newer western corridors
Development along the Grand Parkway (SH 99) continues pushing west. Build quality in the newer subdivisions varies — warranty-era repair demand is active.
What we see
The Cypress renovation challenge
We work in this market. Here is what we see, and how we solve it.
Synchronized aging
When an entire subdivision was built in the same two-year window, every roof, every floor and every set of kitchen cabinets hits end of life at the same time. The contractor pool in Cypress can't absorb the surge, and brokers fill the gap with whoever's available.
Who's actually on your roof?
Many contractors in the Cypress market are brokers — they sell the job and sub it out. The homeowner doesn't meet the crew until work starts, and when the scope changes mid-project, the sub has no authority to make decisions. Self-performed crews eliminate that gap.
Scope creep from water intrusion
In Cypress's flat terrain and heavy rainfall environment, water finds its way in through aging roofing, flashing and siding. A roof repair becomes a siding repair becomes an interior drywall fix — and a single-scope contractor hands you back a half-solved problem.
